About Athar
Athar is a valued member of the team here at Frame. He is one of our Marketing Interns and is very much hands-on with Frame’s Better Images e-commerce solution.
Athar is originally from India, “the most religiously and ethnically diverse nation in the world.” He moved to the UK to attend the University of Huddersfield and is currently studying a Masters in Management in International Business and Entrepreneurship. He also works as an Academic Representative for the MSc Management cohort, where he undertakes pro-bono work. Some of Athar’s favourite modules are Sustainability Challenges and Launching a Venture.
Athar understood the importance of education at a later stage in life and chose to study in the UK as it is well known worldwide for its high educational standards, as well as research and development. He decided on Huddersfield as he prefers smaller towns rather than big cities and Huddersfield has excellent connections, as well as a peaceful environment.
Athar commented: “It feels that the UK is one of the most inclusive countries, I find people really warm and welcoming, especially the Frame family. I have so much respect and love for people here and what they do”.
In his spare time, he loves to write novels and is currently writing Sci-fi series which he plans to publish in the near future.
Professional Background
Athar started his professional career 5 years ago as a sales executive at a SaaS start-up, giving him a lot of exposure to new product markets. He excelled in his career and moved into various roles such as; Account manager, Sales Manager and Assistant Area Manager where his portfolio of work varied from new sales to growing existing accounts. He also launched new categories for the advanced product market and led the supply team to grow businesses multi-fold, from scratch. Athar’s specialisms lie in consumer internet business, hospitality, F&B, and Healthcare and he is personally very much driven by SaaS.
Athar’s interests lie in building solutions. With his previous experience in SaaS sales and product launch, he moved towards a growth role and started his internship at Frame.
Athar’s Journey with Frame
Athar found Frame through his university. Upon seeing the job listing he was immediately intrigued by the tech that Frame offered. After some research and consideration, Athar decided to take the plunge and get in touch with our CEO, Hannah Bratley.
After an initial chat with the founders, Athar presented back a highly detailed and impressive growth plan, which wowed Liam and Hannah and helped them solidify their e-commerce offering and how to execute it. Athar loved the opportunity and took it and is currently working on the rollout.
Athar covers the marketing strategy here at Frame, pushing ideas and collaborating with data engineers, developers, and scientists to make solutions work and produce them well. He makes sure that leads are generated to capacity, and much more!
Athar offered some words of advice for people looking to work in the marketing field: “I think the most important part is to understand “logic” and “customers”. Believe everything is learnable at a very quick pace. If you type a campaign on Google, it will give you most of the ideas. Still, understanding customers comes with a lot of research and experience which I believe can be done very easily if a person is completely interested and ready to learn anything and everything. SaaS is a huge chunk of the market, tech-based businesses are the future, and understanding the whole ecosystem will help as well.”

Future Aspirations
Athar’s future aspiration is to make a big impact in the e-Commerce world and how to solve some underlying problems such as SEO strategy and the overall quality of e-Commerce listings and he believes Better Images by Frame will make waves in this space. Athar’s career aspiration is to become a leader in this field.
Athar commented: “There are thousands of possibilities and channels to explore in the world that we live in. Influencing consumers buying behaviours and decisions for the better, brings greater opportunities for smaller businesses and those in need.”
